Scrappy blues log cabin

Ok crafters / quilters! We all know someone or have a friend or two, that if they know you can more something... they want one too. lol. Well I do have a particular friend that was just dying because she hadn't gotten a quilt yet from me. (You know who you are lady ;) lol! )

Anyways I kept telling I found the right pattern for you just yet. (well I know what I wanted to do for her but I just need to get the right fabric and enough for it). But since she wouldn't wait any longer. I asked what colors. She requested blues.

Hum... lets see here...

Yep I can do that lol! This is just what I had on hand for blue scraps.

I decides to make her a log cabin quilt, figured it would be fun looking with all the blues.

After finally getting everything ironed and cut to size, I got to work make the blocks.  Now let me say these are not perfect by far. I am starting to get to the point of being picky on the types of fabrics I use. But for now I am using what I have in my stash.

Within a few days I had the top complete.  All ready to be pinned and quilted.

Which brings me to these two items. When I went to quilt this quilt, I finally got my hands on some quilting gloves and Supreme slider. I really didn't want to pay the price, but I gave in. So wish I did it sooner! Take my advice, if you want to make your life easier machine quilting. Save a few dollars here and there, any buy this.

And now for the finished quilt.

Hopefully she likes it, when I decide to give it to her. Hee hee  ;)
Thanks for reading, have a good night.
